Fair use policy
What “unlimited” means on our data plans, with the number up front and no small print.

1. Which plans this covers
Only UNLIMITED data plans. Plans sold by the gigabyte have no fair use cap: you get the gigabytes you bought at full speed, and they last until they run out.
2. The limit, plainly
Every 24 hours you get 3 GB at full speed. Once you hit that, the speed drops to 1 Mbps for the rest of the cycle, and it goes back up on its own when the next one starts. At 1 Mbps you can still browse, use maps and answer messages.
3. You are never charged extra
Going past the cap never generates an extra charge. The only thing that changes is speed, and only until the cycle resets.
4. Why it exists
The mobile network is shared by everyone connected to it, and disproportionate use leaves everybody else without a decent service. The cap is what makes an unlimited plan that actually works on the ground possible.
5. What is not allowed
Sharing the connection with several devices beyond normal personal use, automated bulk downloads and peer-to-peer transfers, reselling or redistributing the data to third parties, and any use that breaks the law or the local operator’s rules.
6. What happens if you break it
We can reduce the speed below the stated figure or, in extreme or repeated cases, suspend the service. Before it gets there we try to warn you.
7. It can vary by country
Infrastructure and agreements with local operators differ from place to place, so the full-speed cap may be different in some destinations. When it is, you will see it on the plan.
