Casablanca airport to the centre

1 h route2 stopsBest: Casa Port for the centre and medina. Casa Voyageurs to connectUpdated July 2026

IN SHORT

A train station inside the building itself, on level −1 of T1: almost no African airport has that, and Mohammed V does. Follow the burgundy ONCF signs and you’re on the platform. It’s Morocco’s main airport, about 30 km from the centre.

The train is called Al Bidaoui and it’s the obvious choice: cheap, comfortable and no negotiating. The one important detail is frequency (it runs hourly, not every ten minutes) so check the timetable before going down and don’t end up waiting 55 minutes with your case.

The Al Bidaoui train: the obvious one

    ⏱ 23-45 minLevel −1 of T1, burgundy ONCF signs

The station is inside the airport, on level −1 of T1: you leave arrivals, follow the burgundy ONCF signs and go down. The train makes four useful stops: L’Oasis, Mers Sultan, Casa Voyageurs and Casa Port.

Which to pick: Casa Port for the centre or the medina, because it drops you right there. Casa Voyageurs if you’re connecting to Rabat, Marrakech or Tangier, because it’s the big station.

The trip runs 23 to 45 minutes depending on the stop and the train.

    Taxi: thirty kilometres

The white grands taxis have an official rank at arrivals, with fares to the centre posted on a board. Even so, confirm the price before getting in: it’s the country’s custom and it avoids arguments on arrival. It’s thirty kilometres of motorway, so a long ride and considerably pricier than the train. It pays off if you land in the small hours, when the train isn’t running, with a lot of luggage, or in a group.

Roughly hourly, not every few minutes, and it doesn’t cover the small hours. Check the ONCF website before going down to the platform. If your flight lands at night, plan on a taxi.
