Valencia’s is one of the most convenient airports in Spain: just eight kilometres from the centre, with the metro station inside the building itself, on the ground floor landside. No shuttles, no terminals to confuse.

The «Aeroport» station is the terminus of two Metrovalencia lines running straight into the centre. There’s also a dedicated bus station and taxis at arrivals. Fares and timetables live on each operator’s website, linked from the city page.

Metro: the obvious one
The «Aeroport» station is on the airport’s ground floor, landside: you walk out of the terminal and you’re on the platform, no shuttles and no hikes. It’s the terminus of two Metrovalencia lines, so there’s always a train waiting and you get a seat. Both run into the city centre. It’s cheap, fast and uncomplicated: for the vast majority of travellers, there’s nothing more to think about.

MetroBus: for the metropolitan area
The airport has its own bus station, with the MetroBus lines covering the metropolitan area.
It’s the option if your destination isn’t the centre but one of the surrounding towns.
For the city centre it doesn’t pay off: the metro is more direct and more frequent. Leave the bus for when the metro doesn’t reach where you’re going.

Taxi: eight kilometres
Taxis wait at arrivals, at an official rank, and the centre sits only eight kilometres away, so the ride stays short even in traffic. It pays off with big luggage, in a group, or at an hour when the metro no longer runs. For a solo traveller with light luggage, the metro is cheaper and practically as fast, because the platform is inside the airport.
